A lady from the Livestock & Meat Commission (LMC) visited our class to give a cookery demonstration. We learnt about red meats and their nutritional value. The lady also emphasised the importance of eating a balanced diet and explained why minced meats need to be thoroughly cooked while a steak is safe to eat rare or medium rare.
