The boys and girls have enjoyed constructing willow lanterns over the past few weeks. They built a square or rectangular-based pyramid framework using sections of willow and masking tape. Later sheets of tissue paper (pasted in adhesive) were very carefully draped over the willow skeleton. It was all left to dry before adding a little LED tea light and coloured string handle. To finish sections of willow were split at one end and the lantern attached.
How wonderful they all looked! Well done children!
