Christmas Lanterns
11th Dec 2024
There was a lot of measuring, snipping and joining as we constructed the square-based pyramid structures from willow.
Next we took a length of cord, threaded it through the top of the willow pyramid and tied a knot to use it as a carrying handle.
Lots of PVA was used to cover the willow in baking paper and create an interesting, coloured, tissue paper design.
Finally, a short piece of Velcro allowed us to attach a battery-powered tea light.
The best bit was finding a dark area in school to try out our beautiful lanterns. All the hard work and perseverance was well-rewarded!
