Today we programmed our BBC Micro:bits to measure the length and breadth of the various play spaces around our school grounds. We repeated the measurements and calculated averages for the lengths and breadths. Following that, the average lengths and breadths were multiplied to get the area of each play space. Next week, after adding all the areas together, we will be able to calculate the total play area available for pupils at KPS. This will then be recorded on the BBC Playground Survey Database.
