Today was our first whole school BIG WRITE this year. We came together in assembly this morning and listened to a piece of music. We were asked to think how it made us feel and what images came to mind.
Back in class we discussed the music, shared our ideas and got to work to produce a painting or picture to represent the music.
After lunch we had a gallery session along the corridor and around the hall where we could view everyone's work. They were all different! Some people felt sad, others calm and others thought of happy times.
Finally, we had a quiet time and enjoyed the music together.

Our Big Write encourage our pupils' creativity in writing and is something enjoyed by staff and pupils! The ETI inspectors were very impressed by our pupils' work and progress in writing through our Big Write initiative.
