Phonics:

Dictation sentence:  I had a bun in the sun.

Mental Maths:

I can add 2 to any number within 10.

Use numberline for support.

On your whiteboard write the answer when a big person calls out different numbers for you to add 2 to.

Use your numberline to check.

Have you got quicker since Wednesday?

Numeracy:

I can add within 10 using a numberline.

Find the “Summer Addition Word Problems “ worksheet.

Read together and encourage your child to have a go at the words they should know.

Draw a picture to represent the sum.

Write the sum on the lines.

Encourage your child to use their numberline to answer the sum.

Literacy:

I can re-tell a story

Use your own version of the Very Hungry Caterpillar and re-tell it.

Make it sound like a REAL story – you could use voices or raise your voice for emphasis.

If a big person can record it and maybe send it via Messenger/email I would love to hear your versions!

Dictation sentence: Last week the mummy sheep got stuck in a tree.

Mental Maths:

I can say number bonds to 10.

Get out your digit cards and see if you can match them so they add to 10 before ONE MINUTE is up.

How many did you get?

Numeracy:

I can four different facts for 3 numbers.

So, how did you get on over the last couple of days?  These activities will be very useful for P3. The more you practice the quicker you will be!

Now find the “Fact Family Street” worksheet. Look at the first one which has been done for you.

You must complete at least FIVE houses!

[BIG PEOPLE – there are some worksheets left that we have not completed. You can use these if you wish but P3 teachers will cover  work that we have missed and be able to revise work completed since March.]

Literacy:

Complete your alternative Very Hungry Caterpillar story with you’re your character ate on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Remember to add WOW words to make it more interesting!
