• Online- type into Google – Little Fox word families episode 15 A sip, A Rip

Word build and read along with the short story. (2mins 38)

What ‘ip’ words did hear/read? Can you write them on your wipe board or paper.

This week our focus words are : said No no But but

Mental Maths: Count backwards from a given number within 20 to 0

Count up to 20 then down again for rocket launch. Children jump up in air for “Blast Off!”

Then call out a number within 20 and get your child to count backwards to 0.  Repeat a few times

Continuing with fractions

Set out groups of objects eg pencils/pieces of lego etc within 20. Get your child to count the pieces and then divide in half (ie 2 groups) how many are in each group?

                                           6 pieces

   12 lego pieces    =                  +                                                      so   6 +6 = 12

                                             6 pieces                                                  Double 6 is 12

                                                                                                            ½ of 12 = 6
