·         Set out your digit cards in order 1- 10.  Ask an adult questions using before, after and between.      

         [NB     When the child takes on “teacher” role it shows they really understand the concepts.  If this is

          too difficult then adult ask questions]

Numeracy:

I can add to 10.

Jack and The Beanstalk. I can describe a character.

·         In some stories the endings can be different.   In some books the giant is killed at the end of the

          story and in some he runs away never to be seen again.

·         Imagine if the giant had run away – how do you think Jack and his mum would feel?  Do you think

          they would feel safe?

·         No. I don’t think I would either! So…you are going to make sure that the giant is caught and put in

          jail!

·         Find the WANTED poster in your pack.   Sometimes police put up posters to help find baddies. Can

          you make a poster to help find the giant who has run away?

·         Big person -  please write these words on  whiteboards and see if your child can read each word and

          then make a sentence for their poster.

·         Write your sentence carefully on your poster.
