Key words: Our aim by the start of June is to recognise all of our 60 Key Words.
Keep revising over the first 40 words. We are now working on the last 20 words all to put.
This week our focus words are : all too she gets
Mental Maths: Revision of the number before/ after and between up to 10 (Quick Recall)
Topic Maths: Exploring 2D Shapes and their properties
Instructions in Topic Math’s booklet.Final activity ‘ Make a 2D Shape dinosaur/ train/ tractor or rocket by cutting out the shapes on today’s instruction page in your booklet and drawing around them or by using objects at home to draw around.

Phonics: (Blue cover phonics booklet) Spelling words with the ‘ay’ sound
Use a highlighter/ crayon to highlight the ‘ay’ sound variations in the list of words. Then sort the list of words into the table under the 3 variations of the ’ay’ sound.
Today our 3 focus spelling words are: play name came
Rainbow writing -Write this weeks’ spelling words 3 times each using different colours for each letter. (or with chalks outside.)

Mental Maths: Number bonds to 10

The Whale is trapped in a lake you need to add a piece of pipe each time to equal 10 to release the water and save the whale.

Fractions- 2 equal halves =1 whole
- Intro:Watch online story ‘Give Me Half’ by Stuart J Murphy and discuss.
- Discuss/ try cutting an apple, pizza or sandwich in half. Why do we say half past when we are talking about times on a clock?
