Word of the week – see sheet included in pack New Wave English New Wave Maths Linguistic Phonics Spring 2 Week 5 Mental Maths Spring 2 Week 5 Reading Literacy - Phonics – scaffold text. Read with your child. Highlight the words which contain the target sound (be careful as some may make a different sound – so say the words out loud) My Quiz (z sound) Handwriting – First page of booklet – pay attention to advice on bottom of page Numeracy – This week we will be looking at practical activities with money. If you can – set up a shop at home. Price items up to £10. Ask your child how much change they will get if they buy an item. You can start off with one item and progress to two once they are confident with adding total then giving change. E.g A book costs £4.50 and a bar of chocolate costs £1, how much change? £4.50 + £1 = £5.50 Use a number line to show change £5.50 + 50p = £6 £6 + £4 = £10 £4.50 change |

Children should use time connectives to write about their morning routine. (Use time connectives word mat for ideas) 4-5 lines in Literacy Book.
