Topic maths - recap on what right angles are. A 90 degree angle. Can you spot any right angles at home? Complete sheet in pack.
Writing - look at yellow laminated sheet of sentences openers (in pack). Read. Can you think/write an opener for the following sentences...
- ________ the dog jumped out if his bed and ran to the front door.
- ________ while Fred ate some bacon and bread, Barney took a stroll.
- ________ the games over, and Jack is freed.
- ________ I went out to help my brother to dig up the weeds in the garden.

Weekly round up of this weeks phonics and mental maths (choose 5 spellings - 6th is word of the week/6 tables with a short dictation sentence).
Topic maths - Discuss clockwise/anticlockwise. Look at poster provided. Watch online https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zjyb9j6 short clip called clockwise and anticlockwise. Get a grown up to ask you which way to turn. Repeat x2. Switch and you ask a grown up. Complete double sided sheet in pack. Discuss a 1/4 turn.
Writing - write your own sentences with different openers about a dream you have had. For example, Last night I dreamt I was a ballerina wearing a purple and orange dress. At first I was happy dancing until my feet began to get very sore. All of a sudden, a wizard appeared at my ballet class with new shoes that sparkled very brightly. Draw picture when complete. Remember to underline the different openers.
